Starting April 1, 2023, the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Ordinance 2022, which establishes a registration regime for dealers in precious metals and stones, has taken effect. The amendment adds “A Category B Precious Metals and Stones registrant” to the definition of Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBP). As DNFBP is among the persons specified to whom Protected Information could be disclosed by the Registrar of Companies, the Companies Registry has updated Form PS3 and Form PS4 in relation to Application for Disclosure of Protected Information.
