Delta has entered into an agreement with Shell Aviation to buy up to 10 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) over a two-year period for its hub at Los Angeles International Airport. With this agreement, Delta is making progress towards its goal of using SAF for 10% of its fuel consumption by the end of 2030. The SAF will be supplied in accordance with California’s low carbon fuel standard, and the agreement also involves testing the Avelia platform to track and account for carbon emissions from flying. Delta is committed to transparency throughout its business operations.
