BlackRock, Daimler and NextEra Forge Ahead with $650 Million EV Charging Infrastructure for Trucks

A partnership between Daimler Truck North America, NextEra Energy Resources, and BlackRock Alternatives has created Greenlane, a joint venture that will develop and operate a nationwide public charging and hydrogen fueling network for medium- and heavy-duty battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles across the US. The charging network will be located on important freight routes on both coasts and in Texas, using existing infrastructure and new greenfield sites. The project will begin with a focus on battery-electric medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, followed by hydrogen fueling stations for fuel cell trucks. The joint venture has already made significant progress and has plans to start with a site in Southern California.
