Circular to Licensed Corporations and Associated Entities – Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Financing of Terrorism  Early Alert on United Nations Sanctions

On April 26, 2023, two individuals were added to the sanctions list by the United Nations Security Council’s sanctions committee for ISIL and Al-Qaida. To ensure compliance with the changes made by the committee, licensed corporations and associated entities must update their screening databases for sanctions screening of customers and payments. They should refer to a circular issued on February 7, 2018, which outlines the actions that licensed corporations and associated entities must take concerning UNSC-imposed sanctions.
