Infrastructure investment firm InfraRed Capital Partners has invested €150m in JOLT Energy, an e-mobility company that operates battery-buffered ultra-fast charging stations in urban areas. JOLT plans to install thousands of fast-charging stations in European and North American cities over the next few years, making it easier for EV drivers to charge their vehicles. The company combines charging stations and battery storage to create an ultra-fast charging network that can be established in urban areas without extensive grid expansion. JOLT aims to partner with cities and commercial locations to establish charging stations at highly frequented locations, improving customer satisfaction and generating additional revenue.
