Iberdrola and Vodafone have signed a new clean power purchase Iberdrola and Vodafone have signed a new clean power purchase agreement (PPA) that will see Iberdrola provide Vodafone with 410 gigawatt-hours of clean, renewable PV solar energy per year in Germany, Portugal, and Spain. This includes energy from Iberdrola’s Boldekow PV Plant in Germany, which has a capacity of 56 MWp. The companies will also work together to identify new PPA opportunities and sustainability initiatives in Europe. The renewable energy from the three solar plants is equivalent to powering approximately 117,000 homes annually. Iberdrola has also installed more than 140 electric vehicle charging points in Vodafone’s main facilities in Spain. The companies plan to consider additional PPAs and sustainability projects in the future as part of their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint.
