He started his career working at the Listing Division and Derivatives Product Development Division of HKEx. He progressively moved on to senior management in compliance departments of various banks and securities firms, including Prudential-Bache, HSBC, UBS, Natixis, and Standard Chartered Bank. With his extensive experience in compliance, he is dedicated to provide comprehensive advice for clients and to promote the importance of compliance in the financial sector.

Prior to joining GCC, he was a compliance director at Bank of America Merril Lynch. Previously, he served as the Senior Legal Counsel for Standard Chartered Bank and a Vice President of Morgan Stanley. He has also practiced in regulatory, financial services, capital markets, and takeover law with Freshfields, a leading international firm. Kim started his career as an equity research analyst at UBS. He is recently developing the product DocPro for GCC.
